Size & Care Guide

Whilst we all know size doesn’t matter, having the right fit does! Either too big or too small, an incorrect fit can be a nuisance, and irritant and sometimes just a pain. We recommend checking your measurements against our guidelines before finalising any purchase to ensure your Scarlett Gasque garment fits you the way it should - like a glove!

Bra Fitting

HOW YOUR BRA SHOULD FIT

A recent survey revealed that over 80% of women in the UK wear the incorrect bra size. This can lead to issues later down the line including poor posture and back problems, so making sure you are wearing the correct bra size for you is vital to both looking and feeling your absolute best. We’ve put together some tips and tricks on how your bra should fit below:

  • Ensure the tape is parallel to the floor i.e at the same level on your back, sides and front.

THE BUST

  • Loop the measuring tape around your back, just under your shoulder blades to measure around the fullest part of your bust.
  • Keep the measuring tape level from end to end, ensuring it is close, but not too tight, to find a comfortable and snug position.

Corset, Waspie & Suspender Fitting

CORSET, WASPIE AND SUSPENDER MEASURING

Measuring your body for a corset is an essential step in ensuring your product fits your body correctly. An ill fitting corset can cause risks to your health, as well as be extremely uncomfortable. We recommend following the Scarlet Gasque corset measuring tips to make sure your new corset is a work of art, rather than a pain in the derriere.

Please note that out corsets offer approximately a 11-17cm/4-7in waist reduction across all styles.

BUST

Measure fullest part of the bust. Make sure you measure parallel to the ground.

NATURAL WAIST

Measure where you bend side to side. Usually about 1" above your belly button. For suspender measuring, use your natural waist measurement to find your perfect fit.
